What is #HackAD?
The strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020) says that “people need to be equipped with a variety of skills – including literacy, numeracy and digital skills. They also need a broader set of competences – including critical thinking, creativity and teamwork – in order to build sustainable careers and become independent, engaged citizens who contribute to society.” #hackAD project’s aims to empower young people with digital and transversal skills to positively contribute to society through the establishment of Social Hackademy Labs established in Italy, Greece, France and Croatia. Following a co-designed methodology
the partners will structure 3 courses outlines on Native Mobile App Development, Web Design, and Visual and Graphic Design. A Social Hackathon will then be launched in the 4 project countries, where young people will be organized in team to work in cooperation with local Civil Society Organisations in the identification of the social challenges and the development of digital solutions supported by professionals.
How will #HackAD support Acceasy?
The Social Hackaton, organized in Italy by EGInA, will support Acceasy project by including in the teams project digital solutions for people with cognitive disabilities to have easy access to cultural heritage. Students will be introduced to the easy to read language system and, with the support of experts from Acceasy project, will be challenged to develop creative digital solutions for its use and application in cultural heritage diffusion spaces.
